Seriously, Arty’s Party Rub is good on cantaloupe. It’s been getting a little warmer out and it’s time to eat some summer fruits. With melons being on sale this week, I had to pick one up and try something I’ve been thinking about for a while. I was pleasantly surprised that the sweet taste of the Tuscan Cantaloupe went very well with the spicy, salty flavors found in Arty’s Party Rub.
I’m a pretty big fan of most melons and have always grown up eating them. Usually I would put a little salt on top just to give it just a little bit of extra umph. I can remember when I was a kid sitting outside with my friends eating watermelon and putting salt on it. They would ask me, “what are you doing?!” I would just shrug and continue my melon splurge.
Throughout my life, I have always spiced things up. I never thought it was weird, but some people aren’t used to it. Purists I suppose. What kinds of foods to you spice up that people have said, “What are you doing?!”
